Star Of Siam

We had dinner at Star of Siam twice while we were on a 4 night short break to Tassie. The last time I'd been there was more twelve years ago and I swear the place hasn't changed. The jungle curry was divine - full of herbs and spices but not 'over the top' hot - just very clever balancing of flavours. The green chicken curry and pad thai didn't disappoint! The satay chicken skewers, mixed entree and tom yum soup were welcome ways to begin our meals, too. Highly recommended!

My green curry was just perfect! Not too spicy, which I loved. The staff are very friendly and happy. Everyone is wearing a smile. The restaurant was full, so obviously a popular place.

As a big fan of Thai cuisine, I had high expectations for Star of Siam, and I’m happy to say I wasn’t disappointed. The food was flavorful, authentic, and prepared with care, making it a delightful dining experience. One of the highlights of my meal was the Thai seafood fried rice. I asked for it to be made with less oil, and the staff were happy to accommodate my request. The dish was cooked perfectly, with a good balance of flavors and fresh seafood. I also added some tofu to the fried rice, which blended beautifully with the rest of the ingredients. Every bite was a treat, and I truly enjoyed it. The service was attentive and friendly, making me feel comfortable and welcome. It’s always a pleasure to dine at a place where the staff genuinely care about meeting your preferences. Star of Siam is a great spot for anyone who loves Thai food. With their delicious dishes and willingness to customize meals to your liking, it’s easy to see why this place stands out. I’ll definitely be returning to try more items on their menu. Highly recommended for Thai food enthusiasts!
